There was a sharp rise in 2007 to 5 million, followed by a 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 to 5.56 million in the next year. The number reached its peak at 6.17 million in 2009.
